Where This Ship is Headed! 🎨 | Liron’s Podcast Episode 136

So after a REALLY LONG time I’m finally here with an update 😂😂

First off – my apologies for taking so long.
I’ve been working on many different things, and haven’t had enough time to update here as well.

In addition, I must admit that the podcast(s) is where I want to feel fully free to post ONLY whenever I feel like it (unlike YouTube which is ironclad haha).

So here’s the gist of it:

  • Took a quick break from the manga
  • Lot’s of thoughts on where my next innovation will be
  • Submitted a painting for a pokemon fanart contest on eFour forum (which is the cover photo for this episode!)

I want to really thank you for listening and sticking around.

It’s always a balancing act – juggling creating art for the sake of art, working selfishly, VS doing stuff for you, posting more content etc.

I have to make sure both ends are fulfilled 😁

With that, I hope to talk to you again real soon! 😊🙏🏼
Take care, and feel free to reach out to me anywhere on my different social media channels.

What I’ve Been Up To! November 2020 Update 🎨✍️ | Liron’s Podcast Episode 135

Hi there! In this episode I’m getting you up to speed on what I’ve been working on for the past 2 months or so, in which I provided fewer podcast updates.

Here’s the gist of it (:

  • Spending A LOT of time on figuring out human anatomy + perspective – I’m really feeling the fruits of this hard labor in recent weeks in my art and understanding of what I’m drawing and painting.
  • Pokemon illustrations – I’ve been doing a lot more of these and posting on this thread on the efour forum. A big part has been figuring out the technique to get the result I want, using watercolor. The cover for this post (up top! ^) is a good example.
  • Manga – I’m starting to make some serious progress on a short manga about Shaolin monks. I will keep you posted on that one soon!
  • Productivity pillars – Lately I’ve been focusing on the ESSENCE and IMPORTANCE of tasks, rather than just doing things for the sake of doing. This has led me to spend more time actually creating and enjoying the process!
  • YouTube live – Something I’ve been enjoying A LOT in the last couple of weeks! Thank you to anyone who joined one of the livestreams 😊🙏🏼

I hope you enjoyed listening to this one!

Being a Good Boss to Myself | Liron’s Podcast Episode 133

In this episode I’m discussing what it means to be a good boss to yourself, and to work efficiently and effectively.

I’m also discussing my revolutionary task-setting plans for October 2020.

Here are the cliff notes:

  1. Important & essential tasks VS “busy work” – the importance of doing meaningful work that helps build a SYSTEM of income and value delivery.
  2. Balance between being overly “task-oriented” and being completely lazy – it’s important to remember the number of tasks checked is not always the end-all be-all, and happiness also plays a part.
  3. Acknowledging and being grateful for what you already finished, rather than feeling down for all the things you haven’t gotten to yet.
  4. My October 2020 plan – focusing on the main PILLARS of my work, rather than on a huge list of numbered tasks. I want to allow myself more depth and enjoyment of every individual task.

I hope you found this one enjoyable and perhaps even encouraging!

I’ll keep you updated on how I like the new method of task-management.

And we’ll talk again soon 😊🙏🏼

Contemplating My Personal Brand & Website Design | Liron’s Podcast Episode 132

In this episode I’m sharing my recent thoughts on my brand, the things I want to create and represent with my art, future website changes and personal updates.

Here are the key updates:

  • Website – Planning major improvements for my website, making it a better hub for my content, and a better reflection of who I am as a person and as an artist.
  • Art Style – My desire to make my style more contemporary and authentic, for MY OWN enjoyment from it. Perhaps some movement away from the traditional, and more towards the pop culture and relevant.
  • Higher quality – Mentioned very briefly, this is a part of the trend I’ve experienced for a few months now. Taking a step back, working on my skills and improving the QUALITY of my work. I have no problems with quantity when necessary. However, I want to raise my own bar.

I hope you enjoy this one 😊🙏🏼

What I’m Grateful For in 2019 | Liron’s Podcast Episode 100!

Today I want to share with you the things I’m grateful for in 2019!

I believe gratitude is a very important asset for achieving success. The ability to be grateful for what you have, is what enables you to ultimately have more of it.

A good example is people trying to build their online presence and social media accounts, complaining about having only 400 followers.

A surefire recipe for getting to 4000, is to actually care about your 400.

Here are some of the things I’m grateful for in 2019:

  • Our crazy New York month-long vacation and meeting some of my followers there, and ESPECIALLY seeing up close the impact my content has on people.
  • Taking responsibility for my personal finances and being WAY more organized than in the past.
  • Teaching watercolor private lessons consistently.
  • Publishing 2 articles in the Leisure Painter magazine, and the really positive experience I had around that.
  • Getting started with TikTok, and consistent content publishing
  • My book “How to Sketch” being picked up by a Russian publishing house.
  • Getting my deviated septum fixed and being able to breath fully!!!
  • And some more…

I cannot stress enough how key gratitude is. It’s the thing that enables me to follow my vision clearly.

I practice it every single morning. It doesn’t have to be huge. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Practice appreciating the small things.

And let me know what you’re grateful for, in one of the following places!
