Today I’m answering your questions!
In this episode I’ll address some of the more common questions I’ve been getting recently. This one’s from a recent YouTube video I did.
By the way, the pic above is some of the new Pokemon cards I recently got 😁
I want to turn Q&A into a recurring format, it’s a good way for me to answer a lot of questions, and it’s great content that’s easy to produce.
I hope you enjoy this one!
Here are the questions I addressed:
- Do I stretch my paper? No, it’s not necessary for my use, as well as for the sizes I paint frequently.
- How to mix dark colors and avoid flat black? Mix blacks using your 3 primary colors – blue, yellow and red. Vary the ratio to push the black color more towards cool, warm and so on.
- How to tie-in multiple areas of the painting? I do this either idea-based (connecting areas I want to blend or push back), or value based (connecting similar values).
- Drawing people and anatomy tips? Study and gain the actual anatomical knowledge + Practice LOADS of gesture drawing – it’s key!
- What format are my courses? Digital – it’s a membership website with lifetime access!
- A fun comment about how I use WAY TOO SHORT of pencils 😂
I hope you find this episode entertaining and useful!
